Amazingly powerful and swift
This thing is one of the biggest monsters in all of Pokemon TCG. It is able to dish out damage at a crazy pace. Consider this; with only two energy, Evil Ball deals 60 damage assuming the defending pokemon has no energy. Most of the time, you''re opponent will have something with at least a few energy on it, so we''ll just say it averages out around 100, no drawbacks, for a mere two energy. Now, this can be extended even further or dealt even quicker with the help of a few cards. Dark Patch, while it is only usable in extended and unlimited, can allow you to get multiple energy on Yveltal and then switch it out. DCE can quickly add another 40 damage to the total. Muscle Band tacks on another 20 and running a Hypnotoxic/Virbank combo adds another 30. Taking all this in consideration, you could potentially get a DCE, Muscle Band, Virbank, Hypnotoxic, and Dark Patch throughout the course of turn 1, switch it out if it isn''t already active, and attack with a grand total of 130, not counting whatever energy the defending pokemon has. If you''re ever worried about losing a bunch of energy off this thing after powering it up, you can just Y-Cyclone to move some of it around and power up benched pokemon quickly. It makes great partners with Darkrai EX due to Dark Cloak and Yveltal''s resistance. Garbodor works extremely well with it due to its ability to counter other powerful decks like Keldeo Blastoise and Pyroar, leaving your opponent stuck in a very deadly situation. Overall, this card is OP, and it will definitely have an effect on the competitive scene as long as it''s in format.
