This is basically a credit card with a sliding paper circle mounted to the back. You slide the circle along and it shows your life. However, there's something I didn't like about it. First of all, it's a very small display. Your opponent will have no idea what your life count is unless they lift the counter up and take a look, or ask you. Also, you cannot change your life count without lifting the card up. There are no 'gears' or notches along the circle, so you have to lift it up and slide it awkwardly to change your life. The benefits are there is no longer any need to have bulky stones or poker chips availible to count your life, making the game slightly more portable. It also has very similar dimensions to a magic card, and it is able to fit in (at least) one of the heavier plastic deck boxes Troll and Toad offer. -- By Matthew from Coram, NY, USA on September 12, 2007 |
