CAN YOU SAY MUTILATE, packed quaintly into a morphed creature. -- By Anonymous from myrtle beach,SC USA on March 03, 2003 |

Bane of the Living gets a 5 in my book, it's one of the few, and I mean few, black cards able to remove Akroma from play. Any and every black deck should run this card, at least on the sideboard. -- By Anonymous from Anonymous on March 18, 2003 |

This card is one of the best because it helps you alot in tight spots of the game. -- By Christian from Texas on March 30, 2003 |

A 4/3 for four mana, nice. But throw in the ability to kill any weakling in its path, awesome! -- By Mario from Brownsville, TX USA on December 22, 2003 |

Excellent card, but to give everything -4/-4 or higher is a little pricey, and it kills its self. Still an excellent card however. -- By Anonymous from Ucluelet, BC, Canada on April 15, 2004 |

use cloudpost for X, if you have 4 in play you can drop everything -16. As to the Akroma stament, She has protection from black, doesnt that protect her from the ability? -- By Cole from TX on April 22, 2005 |
|
NO IT DOESN'T; protection from black means she has a built-in circle of protection: Black without the mana and plus; Bane of living's ability doesn't deal daamage, it deals what I call "sickness". and for the other guy's referance; there are plenty of cards that can kill Akroma just to name a few: Befoul, Dark Banishing, Rend Flesh, Hand of Death... -- By sage of the order from order headquarters on July 01, 2005 |

To the guy just above this, I could bearly understand your coments And Akroma has pro black so all the spells you mentiond can Not target her. To the question about Pro Black, Since Bane of the Livving dosen't target Akroma She will suffer its affects. Pro black means black sourses can't target it and damage from black sourses prevented. -- By Buddy Sasquach from Kalamazoo, MI, USA on February 27, 2006 |

fun card to use against indestructables -- By brian from columbus, ohio on April 30, 2008 |

A lifesaver. If the board is getting swarmed, bust one of these out and it'll clear the board for you. If playing against non-tokens, throw in Mortivore after this for the clean up crew. Bane of the Living is quite literally a trump card in many situations, as very few things can survive it's morph effect late-game. If it comes down to it, clear a path for Bane of the Living, because he'll clear the path for the rest of your cards. -- By Clement from Arcadia, CA on December 18, 2008 |
