***** turn 1 land dark ritual (cycle scion) turn 2 land then tap 2mana ANIMATE DEAD turn 2 a 5/6 cant go wrong

***** this card is awsome that is all i can say. i have this and can get it out within 3 turns about 75% of the time either using dark suplicant or aprentice necromancer. does the damage i need and gets me creatures. my black deck stomps everyone i play one on one. thanks

-- By ben from mo on July 15, 2009

***** I run play-set in my "cycling" deck along with fluctuators' to reduce cycling costs to 0. basically w/ dark ritual and fluctuator on Turn-1 I can cycle until I get the cards needed/get threshold and potentially either exhume, stitch together, etc. the Scion. Turn-3 Haunting misery* remove X creatures from my grave 4 X dmg to player FTW!

***** Giving cycling made it broken. the idea that you can get this out easily by the second or third turn with a Hell's Caretaker (or a million other ways) is a little scary... good thing i own one.

***** all i have to say is REANIMATOR!

  -- By bigjohnson121 from TX on May 16, 2005

**** This is a great card! It has cycling, so you get card draw, and he goes into the graveyard, to be reanimted with an exhume,or by some other means The trample ability pretty much guarantees you're going to get whatever creature you want from their graveyard, and his being a 6\6 is pretty spiffy as well.

**** A truly awesome card! this guy is a force to be reckoned with!

-- By Lord Shiathis of Phyrexia from Phyrexia on May 16, 2004

**** Bit pricey for mana, but screw it. And Dark Supplicant?? I'm disappointed. I perfer Recurring Nightmare, its a bit better and faster. I've managed to drop this guy on turn 3, AFTER a Grinning Demon. Game Over.

***** I've 1 foil. So....... I love the card.

***** Nothing much to say except that it is a great card

-- By Anonymous from Chicago,IL USA on November 23, 2003

***** sweet...it you get a hand with 3 Dark Supplicant's and 1 swamp and one dark ritual Scion Of Darkness would be out on the first turn..

-- By Jordon Brinzo from Sworysville PA USA on October 11, 2003

**** First turn, dark supplicant. second turn, any cleric for two. Third turn, rotlung reanimator then dark supplicant hability you get scion and 3 2/2 zombie... funny isn't it?

-- By who care from le Québec sti on October 03, 2003

***** so much better than phage, you get a good hand, he is coming out turn three at max

-- By Shane from GA on April 30, 2003

***** Second best in Legions, only bettered by Caller of the Claw. I may be biased since I'm running a cleric deck at the moment, but this is quite a surprize to be able to throw out second turn without much trouble. Quite scary really.

-- By Caller of the Darkness from Nerrrk, NY on April 28, 2003

***** Hmmm..6/6 trample out on the theoretical 2nd turn. Yes, the 2nd turn; 1st turn 1 mana dark suplicant, 2nd turn another mana and then 2 clerics for 1 mana each. Not to hard to do either. This is game over in four turns

-- By Anonymous from Pinebush, NY USA on April 02, 2003

**** No word to describe it. It's just phat! You can even take over their creature you just destroyed with it!

-- By Anonymous from USA on February 27, 2003

***** a very good card for reanimation decks.

-- By Kyle from West Haven, CT USA on February 21, 2003

***** It isn't as good as Phage. But who cares? This is the cabal's god. I smell a lot of people using a Dark Supplicant combo with this one. A great way to take full advantage of his ability is to use dauthi embrace. The mana cost is of little consequence when using quiksilver amulet.
