**** This was my first purchased theme deck and I still love it. Nothing says evil like a surprise draw of 6-8 cards, 8-16 sorcery damage in one or two turns, and to finally unleash your compiled horde of fatties or tons more burn the turn after for the win. The deck's slow build up speed though kills it in some games; a professional swarm player can finish you faster than you can deal with it. Though by the turn your fatties hit the field finally, you can usually start killing one blocked creature at a time. Modding this deck to a higher level is very tough too seeing how delicate the card count is with a whopping 24 cards having desirable costs of 5 or higher mana. You need enough higher cost cards to get benefits and much needed damage, but you also need just enough excess low cost burn and control to deal with early game threats and deal late game ending damage when your usual aces (the torrents of fire and erratic explosions) are already used up. From my experience playing it, the current high cost count is just one or two too much to be versatile, so swapping in or out one or two out shouldn't be a headache in improving its game. Just don't expect to get high calibur cards really from this deck minus the Mischievous Quanar if you just need extra red or blue for another deck type.

*** This deck is... kinda loopy. It's themed around cards with absurdly high mana costs and tricky spells that play off of that. For instance, Scornful Egotist is a 1/1 for EIGHT MANA... though it can be played as a morph and flipped over for only one mana; Torrent of Fire deals damage to a creature or player equal to the highest converted mana cost of a creature you control, and with Scornful Egotist in play that's a cool eight damage for five mana. As expected for a deck built around high casting costs, though, it is excruciatingly slow to get moving, with little control of the board before your huge critters start coming out. I'd say it's a fine deck with a fun twist for a casual player like myself, but tourney players should probably look elsewhere for inspiration.
