***** Recently I got this set and it is nice. Besides the cards, the box is good and bigger than I expected (thicker cardboard, like deck builder's toolbox). The deck boxes are cardboard but can hold the decks even sleeved. The lotus spindown counters are also nice, as well as poster and strategy book. As for the deck, they are filled with a lot of high cost creatures. But since this is an older set, all the big creatures tend to have drawbacks. Either high cost with lower stats or a negative like making you discard. Still, it is fun to duel with these older cards. The downside is that there are few card that are really useful in normal decks, but it does have counterspell, ball lightning, kird ape, lightning bolt, brainstorm, dark ritual, diabolic edict, impulse, shivan dragon, sengir vampire, and few other decent cards. However, all cards do have their own expansion symbol so good for collecting. Overall, I am happy with the purchase. Chances are buying all the singles would cost about same and wouldn't have had the nice box! But if you only wanted some of cards and don't want it for dueling the decks or collector's value you better off getting singles.
