Memory Lapse, Autumn Willow, Serrated Arrows, Spectral Bears, perhaps Baron Sengir; THATS ALL... Homelands would be a nightmare in Limited (-% -- By Thovt from CZ on December 04, 2005 |

One of the weaker expansions, especially disappointing following the stellar Alliances. You won't find much of use here aside from some fairly decent multilands (Castle Sengir, An-Haava Township, and the like) and a couple of excellent rares.
However, Homelands does have really lovely card art and one of the most intriguing "storylines" of any Magic expansion to date. I'd go as far as to call it one of the best expansions, if not THE best, as far as presentation is concerned. Pity it has little else going for it. -- By Abob from Boca Raton, FL on August 14, 2006 |

nothing wrong with the $1.99 price tag on the pack, but the set... well... it's homelands... pretty bad when you follow up alliances with homelands. kinda the skid mark on the underpants of mtg. if you want some homelands cards, buy the singles. -- By boyse wingfield from iowa on December 03, 2006 |

First of all, homelands has probably the worst art in magic. Have you taken a look at an-havva constable? Also, there are no rares in it. That wouldn't be so bad if there were good uncommons and commons like the dark, but these packs contain nothing but junk. I haven't seen a single card that I like in this set. Lastly, you don't even get 15 commons and uncommons, but you get 8. Basically, you're spending $2 on 8 crappy commons or uncommons. And to whoever said that this set has a good storyline, I don't think so. To me all I've seen is a little town called An-Havva. The whole homelands set is probably the worst set EVER in all of Magic: the gathering. -- By THE REAPER from THE UNDERWORLD on July 16, 2007 |
