this card is good but it has a serious down fall to it. the only way to make it better is to find a way to remove a counters

You can use power conduit to add/remove counters. Drop this and a conduit, and swap counters from the vial to the conduit.

Do you hate drawing a hand with some great creatures and then losing the game because you can't play more than a single land card? I used to. An Aether Vial can be an amazing card if you have a deck with many creatures of the same converted mana cost or one that can manipulate charge counters. In other decks, it is merely very good.

charge this up to 8 and use it with skeleton shard, arcbound ravager and arcbound overseer make some massive creatures fast.

this card lets aggro play through countermagic and standstill. turn 1 aether vial is amazing. nuff said

I managed to get my hands on three of these for pennies at a hobby shop. now, my kithkin deck is nigh invincible.
aether vials+three charge counters on one, two on second, three on other+lots of buffs= massive ownage
