*** I'd give it a 4 although a shock could send it packing the turn it comes out. But, with the right game, put a fangren firstborn into a saprolin deck and have a doubling season out. Your getting alot of really beefy trees to attack each turn. IF...the fangren doesn't die. hahaha

**** I can't decide wether the Firstborn should get 3/5 or 4/5... I'd really wish its power and toughness were inverted so it could survive longer... But other than that, the Firstborn was a strong card back then, and it pairs nicely with Pulse of the Tangle.

**** The only downside to this card is it's toughness, everything else about it rocks!

***** think about this card with slug armor that means it would start out as a 4/8

***** amazing in a graft deck elve deck and any other

***** This card is insane, especially with any spikes in particular spike weaver. Attack with all your creatures, they get +1/+1 then remove the counter from spike weaver (that also attacked) to have no creatures deal combat. If you happen to be able to get 2 spike's (one being the weaver) with Fangren, or 2 Fangrens and 1 spike weaver it's pointless for your opponent, you can fog indefinetely and pump up all your other creatures.

***** Imagine this card alongside a Phantom deck... well that's what my friend wants them for. I'm still debating whether I want to give so much power to his deck that much... a very deadly card in the right deck and great in any deck in general.

** It's okay...basically puts abanmshee's blade on all your creatures...combine this with fangren pathcutter to really do some damage.

***** This card is absolutely insane in any green creature deck. Throw cheap elves into the deck and some mana acceleration then watch as your 1/1s become 2/2s and 3/3s and 4/4s.... It really shines in melees.
