I think they could have come up with a much better rendition of the Smog Monster. They made him look furry, not sludgy. Covering him in a soft vinyl would probably have been better. -- By esolom from Boston on February 08, 2005 |

I think the Hedorah plush is actually not too bad. Sure its kinda furry but they got a LOT of the definition right on. For example he has the minisacks on his back just like in the film...and he's got a tail just like in the movie...He's soft and warm and the eyes are great. I like it a LOT despite being shaggy... -- By David Seguin from Portland, ME on May 25, 2005 |

I love this fellow. He's a fuzzy, teddy bear version of the smog monster which when you think about it is pretty funny since the "real" Hedorah was created from pollution. I take this soft monster on vacation, and he makes a great travel companion for the larger Godzilla plush. C'mon, folks. If you want super detail and accuracy, buy a model kit. Plush toys are meant to be cute and cuddly and warm and soft, and if these are the criteria for grading plush toys, then Hedorah is the best that they've made yet! If you have kids, he'll probably be their favorite monster to snuggle with, and if you're a child in adults' clothing, then he'll be your favorite monster to take to naptime. And for those of you who are a little more detail oriented, take a look at his eyes; They're spot on. This is a fabulous plush. -- By Michael Bennett from Denver, CO on January 19, 2006 |
