WizKids has once again revolutionized the world of gaming with the first ever Constructible Strategy Game™ (CSG), Pirates of the Spanish Main™. In this fun, fast-paced game, players navigate stealthy pirate ships, majestic Spanish galleons, and speedy British schooners through the treacherous waters of the Spanish Main collecting as much gold as possible while fending off enemy attacks.

Each pack contains everything one player needs to get their high seas high jinks started including two complete ships, treasure, rules, an island card and a die. There are 68 different ships to collect and construct in addition to 54 different treasure and crew cards. The fleet building and treasure plundering strategies are endless!

***** I bought a pack simply because pirates rule. Several hours later I returned with some buddies and proceeded to buy about a half dozen more packs. Over the next couple of days my friends and I became the most bitter enemies on our table top sea of pirate attacks. This game is a hybrid of card games (i.e. Magic) but it plays very much like a board game (minus the board.) Even up in oregon where I was on vacation this game was selling out like crazy, there is good reason. It's a fabulous game that anyone can play. The Brits are a little to powerful, but heck, if you're a nerd like me, this is well worth a few fins for the amount of fun play time you can have.

**** In a world dominated by rules heavy, time and financialy intensive CCG and miniature games, comes a new game that is both cheap and easy to learn and play. The entire Pirates of the Spanish Main game can be played literally from ONE single booster pack. The game itself is very, very easy to learn, and though simple when compared to most games, the fast play nature of the game makes it so appealing. I rated the game 4/5 stars, due to the fact that the game is not as in depth as most other games, but it's revolutionary style and gameplay earn it high praise. I highly recommend everyone to try the game, and for only $*.** bucks ($*.** at TrollandToad!) you have NOTHING to loose. And hell if you don't like the game, you will always have a sharp looking 3D ship to set on your desk. TRY THIS GAME!!!!!

**** Ok, New and Good. That pretty much sums it up. There are a few balence issues as with any new game that hasn't been play tested enough. All things considered, very creative. Simple and Simple, there are almost no rules to agure over and putting the ships together is fun!

***** My girlfriend was eyeing this up at the store a while back because she's a "Pirates of the Carribbean" (sic) fan, so ultimately she and I decided to buy a couple of packs just to have a look. Within 24 hours there were five of us locked in mortal combat for domination of the living room carpet. Normally I have a hard time selling my friends on collectible games (we're all in our twenties and either employed or in college and thus ostensibly have better things to do) but this sucker just got everyone going. The combination of easy rules (with plenty of room for house rules) and a unique "constructible" format are a huge draw. Plus, how many other games give you an excuse to begin every sentence with "yar"? The only drawback is that this game doesn't seem to have a heavy market penetration in my area, with only one store I can find carrying it.

***** I think this game is the best strategy game out there! It is way better than yugioh. I recommend starting this constructible strategy game

**** Ok this is my first card that i have ever bought. I have to say I have seen it around for about 3 months but didn't think much of it. When I bout it I was hooked. It is easy to pick up and game play does not miss a beat. Also if you can play some viking metal or battle music in the background it makes it that much better. Play this game... Or I will spear you!!

**** While the cost of miniature wargames continue to increase, My firends and I looked at this as perhaps a temporary respite. Now, a week later we are all pitching in for 3 boxes. We have all chosen our armies (The French is left over to claim, but that's not to say they're the weakest...they're definately not). We can't wait for the next expansion!!!

***** I went into a store and took a look at a pack of these. I almost threw it down immediately. Toy ships were for 2-year-olds. 1 week later, and some strange force bound me to buy a pack. It's really just a beautiful mesh of complexity and simplicity, thrown onto an ocean. Now I'm just waiting to get more packs. I would recommend Barbary Coast, as it was a strong set, but any pack will do.

***** Me and two friends bought this game at Lowlands Festival here in Holland (which by the way rocks, so come next year if your in europe, around the end of august) and I played it the same day, and I was simply addicted to it. The fact that I saw the Pirates of the Caribbean moviesmay have helped a bit. But its great nonetheless.
