AMAZING! beacon of immortality saved my butt so many times... the ULTIMATE card for a life-gaining deck! Slap 4 of these babies in there and you're set! once used, they get SHUFFLED back into your library! so you can use them over and over and over again! The only two cons are that you have to have enough mana to pay for it, and, if you are already at low life points, its hard to regain... (excellent to have at the beginning of the game!) -- By Shawna from British Columbia, Canada on November 05, 2004 |

Imagine this with Bringer of the Black Dawn. I don't need to explain the rest. -- By J.R.R from OR. on January 02, 2005 |

Life, life and more life, I've had over 3400 life thanks to this wonderful card, yes that's right 3400 and many times
over 2500, it's crazy but it works, just put 4 of these in a deck and you won't run out of life. -- By Anonymous from Espoo, Finland on February 21, 2005 |

My buddy has a beacon of Immortality in his deck with 4 Congregate's. The other night he had over 10,000 life. Awesome card. -- By Robert Noble from Leburn Ky on December 22, 2005 |

Here's a hint: Beacon of Immortality and Rain of Gore, targeting your opponent. Have fun guys. -- By Shalmoth of the Rakdosian Orzhov Conglomerate from Ravnica, City of Guilds on November 09, 2006 |

Really good, and it got better with planar choas thanks to heroes remebered. Hint: Suspend heroes, then once you get that nice bushel of life, play this beacon, your opponent will hate you. just wish it was as easy to pull off as it is to say, but anyway its still good. -- By Charles Burns from Mesquite, TX USA on January 31, 2007 |

was only able to get one for my deck up to this point. works well with serra avatar. very funny watching peoples reactions when you play it too. slightly high mana cost but throw in some tithes or scroll racks if you need the mana. -- By Anonymous from san francisco on February 20, 2007 |

The Problem with all cards that deal with lots of life gain is that False Cure stops them all, with this, it kills the caster, if they target themselves, which most people will. Because they would gain twice their life then lose quadruple the life gain, thus killing them. -- By Nicholas Tucker from Raleigh, NC on March 07, 2007 |

Hate to break it to you Shalmoth but Rain of Gore only effects the controller of the spell so that combo would only work if you had a rain of gore out and your opponent played the beacon. Good idea though, and a pretty sweet card. -- By Anonymous from Minneapolis, MN USA on August 19, 2007 |

to go along with false cure. false cure says that if a player is to gain life this durn in deals that much damage to it. but becon doesnt neccacarly say u gain the life. it just doubles it. most cards dealing with life gaining says target player gains what ever life. this is the same with a card from farther back that target players life goes back to 20. the card has nothign to with gaining life. -- By doc z from arizona on October 11, 2007 |

U keep forgeting that life is not gained the total is just doubled. therefor rain of gore would not work. -- By Anonymous from Soldotna, AK USA on October 13, 2007 |

this card is good because if left unchecked and not countered u will eventually have a life total 2 high 2 lose against beatdown and aagainst control with no counters kill with a man-land -- By aaron from west orange NJ on December 09, 2007 |

It IS a life gain... This card DOES work great with False Cure. -- By Félix from Repentigny, QC CA on January 06, 2008 |

Only 10 000? I got up so high one night that my calculator had to give it to me in scientific notation. It worked out in the billions. -- By Nick from Mississauga on February 22, 2008 |

False Cure works. According to Wizards: "Beacon of Immortality's effect counts as life gain (or life loss, if the life total was negative) for effects that trigger on or replace life gain (or life loss)." -- By Serraphite from Portland OR on April 30, 2008 |

My friend had transcendence, he was on 11 life is was on 4, I played this and targetted him, GAME OVER. -- By Anonymous from Perth, WA Australia on September 07, 2008 |
