| Queen of the Demonweb Pits Dungeon Module Q1
This module is the exciting conclusion of a series of seven AD&D modules. It may be played on its own or as the climax of the "Giant" series ( G1-2-3) and the "Drow" series (D1-2, and D3). The persistent adventurers must now face the Demon Queen herself, and on her own plane.
The first of a new series of other-planar adventures, this module includes several new monsters, maps of the Web and laif of Lolth, and notes on eight alternate worlds, suitable for expansion and addition to existing AD&D campaigns.

Oldest module I have owned. Standard module with outer cardboard cover with map inside of cover, and a second cardboard insert with a map. This is the penultimate adventure to the 1st edition rules modules. If you have an experienced group of gamers with characters able to take on this module enjoy, what memories this can create for your party. It can be inserted at the end of a long campaign or as a stand alone, although set in Greyhawk a creative DM can adapt to any campaign setting.
The bad: maps are substandard for such an important adventure. As DM you will need to figure out some problems this module creates as there are a ton of spin-off adventures by the time the party reaches the lower web. This module literally could go on for years, and the end is not well summarized as to how to defeat the queen of spiders so some creativity is needed to solve this.
The good: the artwork is classic Jeff Dee, Erol Otus, and others, giving it a true 1st edition feel. Pretty basic hack & slash but the plot (is there really on here?) is to get the party to Lolth for the final confrontation. It is true D&D gaming and well worth playing out.
Conclusion: for collectors it is a must have, for AD&D 1st edtion enthusiasts it is a must have, not for gamers who need fancy storylines and long plot driven narratives. Strap on your +3 Gauntlets of Ogre Power, sharpen those +4 battle axes and swords, and find plenty of extra-healing potions. Make sure you have a trusty magic-user, experienced cleric, and some sturdy fighters-throw in a thief and or bard and take on this most fun of adventures.
