***** I suppose this is going to be the best card in Champions of Kamigawa.

***** AWSOME card! it is really a card you need to own :)

***** This card is simply too good in the constructed world. This card hoses any sort of combo deck out there. Not to mention not only do you get to remove the key card/bomb card from an opponents hand/graveyard/library completely from the game, you get to look at said opponents hand -and- library to see what other treats they might have in store, or what your next target with cranial extraction 2 is going to be. It wouldn't surprise me if this was the first card from the Kamigawa black to be either banned or restricted in type 1 and banned in type 2. At the moment, I don't really see it being as powerful in block simply because I don't see block being all that powerful, but there are 2 sets remaining, I could be wrong. Either way, excellent card...probably too good.

***** holy crap why have they not come out with a card like this sooner. Finally black is making a come back. I for one am personally going to get everyone i can.

***** Totally the best card in the game for only one swamp and 3 mana. Say good bye to your platium angel and your tooth and nail. Say good bye to your Wrath of God.

**** Well it took me a while to figure out why this was such a good card, I mean it kept reminding me of lobotomy. Then i relized i wasnt seeing the card it is more similar to. That being Fact or fiction.....yes you dont get to draw but you do get to remove them almost as good, but i think they made it good enough to be played but dont think it will need to be restricted.. unless it just is to brutal and first or second turn to remove null rods.

***** I think this is one of the most fantastic black cards next to the obvious ones.. (necropotence, Juzam, Dark Ritual, chains..) the list of really potent black cards has nearly vanished with the new sets.. but i think this will please any player who wishes for a mono black lock down deck (old school alert..) i think this card will go up tremendously in value because it literally rips any deck apart!

*** Not entirely good but could come in handy. Cranial Extractions are good when it come to foiling opponent's plan but weak against quick-barrage deck. The value of this card could be compared and varies as a four to cast counterspell that can remove up to four card of the same name from play (with exception of a rat card). However consider that this card to be wasted when used upon card that only occur once in the deck, especially when there is no card that is worth naming in the first place.

***** oh man,THE BEST CARD of champions of kamigawa ,2 or 3 of this will eliminate the best cards of your oponents decks, hands, and library i love it

*** Not bad. But this card is definitely not the best out of Champions. It has a high cost to it. Meddling mage ( W,U 2/2 when meddling mage comes into play name a card. The named cards cannot be played.) is better because it says they cant play it. meaning they have one extra useless card and you have a 2/2 creature in play.

**** I disagree with it not being as good as Meddling Mage, but I do agree that it is not the best card in ChK. Simple utilitarian cards such as Sakura-Tribe Elder and Nezumi Shortfang can be better in most situations when compared to Extraction. However if used properly with Eternal witness, or even a black/blue Unspeakable deck, this card can be relatively devastating.

* I really don't see the point in this card. I mean, how is one creature out of your deck going to make you kill them worse? I mean, I have like 20 other creatures in my deck to attack with, so why does it make a difference if only one of them gets killed? Sooooo dumb of a card.

***** OH you have a win Condition?!! Bye bye !!! LOL
-- By ANDREWEVILDEAD from Alice, TX USA on March 17, 2005
***** One of the best cards i've seen in a long time.

**** Does anybody out there know a card called pithing needle????!!!!!
-- By yixin huang from Deerfield, IL US on July 21, 2005
***** INcredible card, an easy way to take care of this nasty combo, and you solve the problem of grave-recovery tactics.
  -- By Thelonius from Barcelona,Spain on August 20, 2005
***** this card is a go and take a walk stunter to theme decks. Jester's cap with a vengance. Meddling mage can get destroyed, and so can pithing needle. Once this is done, IT IS DONE>>> your friend/opp may bow thier head in pain once you cast. VERY VERY EVIL CARD by by land tax/cad blooms/gobling welder/crucible world/meddling mage/counter spell/mana drain/force of will/tangle wire/smokestack/uba mask YOU name it. They better counter. It will be countered 100% of the time as well, if someone has the counter, and now you have one less counter to worry about from the other deck. Could work very well with discard decks too hahahahaha

***** I can't wait for this card to be banned/restricted although I realize it's a good card as long as it's on MY side. MUCH better than Meddling Mage as they can be killed in too many ways to mention (I prefer black widow and bruiser decks anyway) and this card takes them OUT OF THE GAME. This plus Quash and you'll be hated by all.

***** I disagree with your comment about the high cost rendering this card useless. An opponent of mine has played this on me numerous times on turn two using a dark ritual. On turn two, this card is insanely powerful. This means that if I dont go first and put out a birds of paradise on turn one, he can get rid of all of my troll ascetics on turn two. that is just insanity. black has some tremendously overpowered cards. especially extirpate.
