***** Awesome art. Wonder which tail is the hail-tail?? An actual permanent worthy of the Legendary status, which is pretty rare; especially when you look back on older sets like Legends, Homelands, Fallen Empire, Portal 1-3, etc.

**** if your oppenent is playing a shroud deck, well this card is useless. But its still cool card. Nice art work.

***** The reason why I love this card is because it is so versatile. If you want to make your attacking creatures unblockable, use 8 1/2 before attack. If you want your opponent to block your creatures and then have yours take no combat damage, use 8 1/2 as a stack ability during combat. If you want to stop any of your cards from being targeted, if you want to remove an already existed enchantment like Control Magic or Treachery on a creature of yours, the list goes on and on. The only thing this card can't do is stop counterspells and cards with shroud.

***** wrath of god still kills your creatures because it doesn't say "target" in wrath of god. protection is only good if your creature is being targeted by a spell or ability, in addition to the other things that it does. very nice, though. and only 2 mana!

***** combine with Wrath of god and give your stuff protection from white and you can completely turn the game in your favor.

**** I love this card, though instead of defense, I use it in a black destruction deck. It removes all those nasty non-black requirements from things like terror and dark banishing. Though making my avatar of woes invincible is a plus as well. ^_^ fear + this card = "lol u can't block my 6/5"

***** I think this is a good card (unlike what "the guy from the table" said).

***** Can you say CRAZY! OMG! This has to be one of the most valuable additions to my deck. All you need is enough mana and you have the ultumate protection tool for any of your creatures... just remember to protect yourself. Alas, all I need now is something to compliment it by protecting my life points directly. Mistaaa!

-- By Lonnie from Cali on January 13, 2006

**** As is said above if you've got mana enugh is the absolute blocker, and is one of the best white creatures in the game as well, hardly reccomended.

***** Eaisily one of the best cards not only in Kamigawa but Magic as a whole. Combined with Pious Kitsune(s) you can eaisly put your life total through the roof (I got mine as high as 625!), as well as put up an iron clad defense against pretty much anything your opponent can throw at you.

-- By Sean Fuoti from Reading, PA USA on February 11, 2005

* This card is meant for those who really shouldn't be playing magic, they just have no other skill in life, so they spend Mom and Dads money to pretend they're good at one thing.

***** Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooost favoured fox! #1 2/2 card! back of fat pack!

-- By boris chiu from hong kong on December 29, 2004

***** The ultimate card for defense! It's like all five circles of protection! A MUST HAVE!

-- By J.R.R from Medford, OR on December 18, 2004

***** This card if you have enough mana is the ultimate blocker. However slap him in a deck with four COP White and he becomes the ultimate damage stopper. Eight and a Half Tails is at this point my favorite creature in Magic. Support him with Northern and Southern Paladins and Sleight of Mind to destroy what ever you want for WW1 as all will be white.

-- By David Holcomb from Woodward, Ok USA on November 03, 2004

**** Awsome card! Can turn other players creatures white, then give your permanents protection from white! It's also a 2/2 for two white.
