This card cost seven mana and therefore is not for the white deck that is faint of heart. Once this card has been played their is very little the opponent can do. But their are some things wrong with the card, granted it is a good blocker but costing seven mana it should be able to attack. What I am suggesting is that their is no way someone is going to block this card inless they have an */8 or up. For 3 damage a turn and a good blocker seven mana could be spent in a better spot. -- By Anonymous from Seattle, WA USA on October 14, 2004 |

If it had trample, it would be a great card. -- By Carlos Lourenço from Açores, Portugal on November 07, 2004 |

Man... if this thing had a lower mana cost, it would be the new Akroma.
However, as a white player, I wince to think of paying 7 mana, not even considering having to last long enough for him to hit the board. It's also a double-white, which discourages splashing him.
However, he can make a great Samurai deck finisher. Combine him with Takeno, Samurai General, and watch him become an 8/8. Equip him with darn near anything and he gets even better.
I think he'd probably be better in casual or multiplayer than a solid tournament candidate. -- By Anonymous from Ohio on November 10, 2004 |

So what if it costs 7 mana. Yeah a turn can cost a game but if you use a turn putting this out there, you can block and/or destroy any creature without having to worry about it being killed. I am a whit green and blue player because I think black if for wusses who have to rely on power instead of tactics. This is definetely a good card and is perfectly splashable. ooooo oh no. you need to pay two white mana. Run for the hills!!!! it's not gonna kill you. If you were to combine this with golden sensei, you would have a really good deck. But, since you're gonna have to amputate your arm to get it, you might as well play child friendly lotto when buying the tournament packs. -- By Know it all from chicago on December 18, 2004 |

Its a good card, though heavy on the mana. Use a legendary land and put him down early and you have an unstoppable huge creature that can reek havoc. -- By Andrew from South Africa on February 20, 2006 |

yea sure i understand as a white player is a lot expecially if u need to save, but i also understand that when you playing another good deck sheer damage reduction and life gaining isint gonna put the damage through but a sheer broot pounder like this lil guy can,i mean sure it's only a 3/3 but that bushido 5 makes opponets think twice about loosing there creature basis so i say have fun knockin em around or blocking surly up 2 u -- By Anonymous from america on October 27, 2006 |
