Back in the days with Revised Edition I remember times I bought a booster or deck hoping to catch some nice black rares and uncommons, and this card unceasingly popped up, smiling to me, the disappointed 10-year old. I remember how my older brother tried to convince me it was a great card, but I wasn't pulled behind a wagon my entire life, I saw through this pink swine; I mean, a cost 5 for 2/6? That's the worst deal I had ever heard. I had better cards, like Nightmares. On top of that my brother played a Blue deck, so Pink Grin's ability was useless, and mostly ever will. On one instance against my brothers unstoppable Merfolk deck, I had 6 mana out, and a Nightmare, which was my favourite card. He throws his counterspell, then calmed me about it. "I still had chance to win", he proclaimed, since I had, after all, four Will-o-the-wisps on table,- on a good day I cheated when shuffling the library. His turn engaged the usual for drawing the win. My turn, and I get Mr Pink Grin and it totally buries me. I never used him again of course, once was enough. This mr Pink Grin, and Spirit Shackle = the total Scam. The absolute worst deck includes 4 abominations and 4 spirit shackles, and yet it was Easy to get this deck, that's an amazing fact. I hate this card! -- By Anonymous from the bushes, Sweden on September 04, 2006 |
