Imagine that you're a supercomputer. Now imagine that you're bored. So you dream up a little contest for you and a couple of your supercomputing buddies. Your task is to move one of the stupid little robots out on the factory floor through a series of checkpoints scattered throughout the factory. The wrinkle, however, is that the factory floor is filled with all kinds of inconvenient (if not down-right deadly) obstacles located in various locations: conveyor belts, crushers, flame-throwers, pushers, teleporters, oil slicks, pits, et cetera. But the real fun comes when the robots cross each other's path, and suddenly your perfect route is something less than that...

***** The very top of my top 10 carboard games! This game is amazing, simply enough as to be comprehended at the first fly, and complex enough as to keep you entertained for years to come!. I knew the original version, but only could buy it until the new reprint. Even though the reprint is missing some option cards (like the bridge or the goo cannon), it still makes an excellent game. It has a perfect balance between chance and strategy, since even though you are dealt random cards to program your robot, every time that I played, the winner achieved it through strategy, not through chance. The situations that your robot will get into while following your "perfect" programming will be, the least, hillarious. It has even been claimed to be a great way to learn the basics of programing (On each turn you are required to program your robot's moves). I don't know that for sure, I only knew that from the very first time I played it, I knew I had to have it! If you are looking for something beyond the traditional cardboard games, do yourself a favor and check Roborally!
