**** this deck is in my thought the best theme deck made.It is great to start of a long life of boros.Iv'e read a few comments saying this deck sucks.HOW CAN YOU SAY IT SUCKS.They thought it was the best and took it head on against a deck that is winning at tournoments.IT'S A FREAKING THEME DECK OF COURSE ITS GOING TO LOSE AT AN TOURNOMENT.The deck is made to go against oher decks from the set not real decks. If you lose that means you not used to the style, but any way i love this deck and countinue to play a boros deck. * if you have a ship, fix it as you need over time, and eventually replace it all, it's not really the same ship. same with decks. having to replace half the deck before it starts winning doesn't make the deck good. straight from the box, this deck won't win. 1 star at most.

**** This deck is pretty good on it's own, it's pretty fast has a few good cards to deal with awkward situations. Sunforger is pretty good, and occasionally it will grab that Lightning Helix for you. Speaking strictly without altering it, it's a good deck. But if you actually go buy other cards and modify a few numbers you can make this deck a beast. I put in four Balefire Lieges and switched out the highest CMC cards out for things like another Boros Recruit or a Moonhold. Then I switched out most (to all) of the mono colored cards for dual colored ones. The deck itself has just enough power to keep you alive while you wait for Balefire (not that it's always neccesary anyway) but once you get Balefire out, just start casting your dual color cards. Lightning Helix every turn you play a card. It's a good deck, not unstoppable, and suffers the same weakness as any deck dependent on playing a specific creature. A good kill card or counterspell messes up your strategy. But this is a decent contender for casual to the slightly more hardcore players.

**** This deck is good as a starter for a soldier deck! I cant even remember what it was like to play as a pre con but i took all the the non soldiers out and added new soldiers like captain of the watch and concorer's pledge etc etc. I banged a coat of arms in there and its an unstoppable soldier deck with most of the creatures having first strike and double strike! Add 4 boros fury sheilds as extra defense and bobs your uncle! Buy this deck!

**** Awesome deck. Sure, it needs big hitters, but hey! it's a theme deck = it only has 2 rares! But besides that, this deck also has 2 Lightning Helixes, which already makes it good. If you really want some big hitters & such, try buying the Red/White deck from Eventide along with it - they fit really nicely with each other; especially the Balefire Liege and Lightning Helixes form a nasty combination.

*** I think this is a great deck, but its slightly cliche. I mean, low cost, quick creatures. Come on, put something more in! But, I digress, good deck. Period. (Though I prefer Dimir more, but, hey, that's who I am.)

**** Although this may not be the best of Pre-Con Decks, with a few tweaks, it can become a powerhouse. With cards like Lightning Helix (which it provides TWO of) and let's say, isochron scepter, this deck becomes insane. OR give it a small flare of extended by adding the new red/white stuff from Eventide. I foresee red/white in the contention in ruling extended format. Take the crap out, add some flavor of your own, and your a force to be reckoned with.

***** incredible deck! i won every game i played with this deck after adding 4 umezawas jittes.

-- By Anonymous from mars on June 25, 2008

***** WOOT! GO BOROS! Boros is awesome! It's fast, strong, and offers way better evasion than Gruul (White has more flying than Green) and ummm...it's awesome!

-- By Greg Johnston from Atlanta, GA USA on May 28, 2008

***** One of my favorite theme decks. It's fast, has burn/life gain, classic aggro, beatdown, great artifacts. One of the best theme decks i know of. A great starter.

-- By Drew McCarron from Weston, MA USA on May 04, 2008

**** This deck is weak if you only want to play just it and not add any new cards. I added cards such as Field marshal, brightflame, Darien, king of kjeldor, Proper burial, Torchling, Razia, an extra Argus, Baldivian rage, and firemane angel. ive kept track of wins/loses and im at 17W/3L. This deck has amazing potential and if you have the money to beef it up it can absolutely dominate.

*** there isnt really a strategy to this deck unlike the dimir deck. personally i dont like either of the two very much. i prefer the lorwyn giant deck over this one

-- By andrew from Dahlonega, Georgia USA on February 18, 2008

***** I dont know what you guys are talking about this deck can be mean. The basic deck with no modifications is somewhat weak but if you change out a few cards you will be hitting with 8/4 flyers with double strike in no time (skynight, agrus kos, sunforger, with sunhome tapped for double strike) and i dont care what you say that will mess up someones day in no time

-- By Anonymous from Arizona on July 04, 2007

***** This deck rocks!

-- By Anonymous from Uranus on May 01, 2007

***** Really good deck with jsut adding a few cards!

-- By will huff from AZ on March 07, 2007

***** lots of cheap creatures that can easily overpower the enemy. Argus Kos can give all your creatures a boost. no one can beat it or even play creatures before i have their life is down to ten! I would add Razia, Boros Archangel for some more firepower

-- By Harry Potter from hogwarts on January 14, 2007

**** Ok I realize that speed decks like this have weaknesess, but for that type of deck it rocks. Spells like lightning helix will also give u the extra boost you need to gain life or burn your opponents to a crisp!

  -- By MTGfanatic99 from USA on September 15, 2006

***** it has very good cards

-- By Anonymous from a computer on July 24, 2006

***** my friends want this deck since i bought it

-- By Anonymous from nowhere on July 24, 2006

***** it´s too fast

-- By Anonymous from my house on July 24, 2006

**** This deck is actually okay if you learn how to edit it. I added an excruciator(7,7, whose damage can't be prevented:ravnica series.) and a few other cards such as dogpile and another boros guildmage. Also add a few thundersong trumpeteers to take you opponents creatures out of action before they can do any real harm.

-- By Christopher Kloc from Golden, Colorado on June 28, 2006

***** Super good deck but if u want to win you need to put tons of other cards, thats what I did and I almost never lose.

  -- By Anonymous from Paris,France on May 24, 2006

***** it's awesome

-- By Anonymous from São Luís, Maranhão, Brasil on May 12, 2006

*** ok face the facts, to start off with the boros si ok, but after work done to it, it is amazing

-- By Andrew Langford from Geneva from Geneva, Alabama on March 21, 2006

***** I don't have the actual theme deck myself but check out the cards on this site you can add to this deck I don't care what people tell you this deck can become one mean puppy. The theme cards I got from expansion packs, like sunforger are pretty handy. Not to mention detonate and the plethora of protective and life give/taking abilities the deck has. If you like to use fast paced creature based decks I'd suggest building your own theme deck off this one. It can be a pretty wicked deck.

-- By Anonymous from Colorado on March 07, 2006

* I hate this deck - I can't beat it!

-- By Funny Person from funzville, up ur on February 25, 2006

*** Not bad, but not good either.

-- By JMB (initials) from Milpitas, Ca USA on February 25, 2006

* I bought this deck. Three days later, I gave it away. The person whom I gave it to got so mad from losing (because of this deck)that he shreded the cards. My point is THIS DECK SUCKS!

-- By Anonymous from my mommy on February 21, 2006

* Don't waste your money on this. Spend it on the selesnya deck instead. I took a survey at the magic the gathering club at my school to see which deck the people like most. Nineteen people took this survey. The results were selesnya in first place with ten votes, dimir in second with five votes, golgari in third with three votes, and in last place was the boros deck with one vote. The person that voted for the boros deck was a begginer and the only reason why he voted for it was because red and white were his favorite combination. So please do not buy this deck. I highly recomend the selesnya deck.

-- By JMB (initials) from Milpitas, Ca USA on February 21, 2006

** Okay, I do like the deck a little, but it seems very.... "brute forcey" It is easily dominated by golari or dirmir.... If you want a good deck, buy a golgari or a dirmir(dirmir seems to be my favorite)

-- By Anonymous from Texas on January 17, 2006

**** The only think are'nt good about this deck is that it is not pure boros but then again neither are the other theme decks

-- By The Boros Fanatic from Denmark on November 24, 2005

***** Great Deck it's so fast. The cards are so great I don't even have to think twice to attack the opponent. The SunForger artifact is pretty good almost as good as the umezzas jitte artifact equipment. Red and white works pretty good together The Agressive power of Red and some defenselfness from White. Please buy this deck and make the other premade decks CRY!
