We The People is an exciting historical game that lets YOU relive the events of the American Revolution. As the American player, YOU lead the fledgling forces of the Continental Army led by such generals as George Washington, Nathanial Greene or the infamous Benedict Arnold. YOU play your Strategy Cards to move your armies or gain political control over the colonies. Your opponent (the British Crown) deploys its famous Regulars against the small American forces in an effort to maintain their empire. They are aided by the powerful British navy that allows their forces to range up and down the Atlantic coast in their bid to suppress the revolution. But America is not without its friends, as clandestine French aid sustains the fire of revolution and freedom.
WE THE PEOPLE uses a unique new game system that incorporates cards to allow players to both move their armies and employ political warfare to obtain their goals. Playing the Declaration of Independence or Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" allows the player to significantly change the political balance, as does the martyrdom of Nathan Hale or the murder of Jane McCrae. A player wins by judicious control of the events that shaped the revolution, while pursuing the objective of political control over the colonies.
