ODD TSR 2005B

In this third supplement for Original Dungeons & Dragons, Eldritch Wizardry adds druid character class, additional magic items and artifacts, and rules for demons and psionics. This supplement was printed from April, 1976 to November, 1979.

The First through Fourth printings identify the drawing on page 3 as a "Balrog"; this reference is omitted in the Fifth printing and later (due to the Tolkien copyright issue).

The differences between printing are as follows:

First Printing:

  • Printed in April, 1976
  • Does not have printing date or number on first page
  • Missing the quote from the Wizard Tzoonk (on page 43 within the Codex of the Infinite Planes)
  • Drawing on page 3 is identified as "Balrog"

    Second Printing:

  • Printed between April, 1976 and July, 1977
  • Includes quote (on page 43) from the Wizard Tzoonk
  • All else same as above

Third Printing and Fourth Printing :

  • Printed in July, 1977 and November, 1977
  • Date and Printing number is on first page
  • All else same as above.

    Fifth Printing and Above:

  • Printing date and printing number on first page
  • The drawing on page 3 is no longer referred to as "Balrog", instead states "Demon Type VI"
  • All else same as above

The First through Fourth printings identify the drawing on page 3 as a "Balrog"; this reference is omitted in the Fifth printing and later (due to the Tolkien copyright issue).
