Being the first to review, I figure I should give everyone a fair assessment of what this 'random' assortment is and is not. First of all, I did enjoy many of the cards I got. There was a fair bit of things that will be of much use to me and many things I was pleased to see in there. Secondly, know that the sets they pull from are not random from each other, your picks will be confined to 4-5 sets. Third, there were 15 instances of cards that I got more than 4 of and 12 of those 15 I got 6 of; in my eyes, that at the very least 27 cards that have zero value to me, and from 'random' standpoint, I seriously beg to differ.
As far as the price, I am not happy at all with it but my biggest problem is that of 400 cards that I looked through I had precisely 0 black cards and precisely 0 green cards. I got absolutely no help on any of my decks that contained black or green.
I certainly wish I would have had more randomness in the process and hope TnT uses this review at the least to reconsider how they sort these cards, because 400 cards with at least 100 duplicated and no black/green cards is certainly not worth the $0.25 bargain they are pushing them at. Perhaps I would have had more luck and satisfaction just throwing down and buying another sealed box. -- By Jeff Meyers from New Orleans, LA USA on June 16, 2007 |
