Gargoyles, often carved into the stonework of buildings, were done in a grotesque form so as to scare off evil spirits. This is the first in a series. Designed by Ron Spencer. Never before available in plush form! Limited Edition, 10.5" x 7.5" x 8"

***** Gargoyles are surely an endangered species. Air pollution, destruction of antiquated buildings, and current stark building trends have all contributed to the terrible demise of this beautiful species. This is one of the BEST-MADE plush toys I have ever held. I am a designer and a seamstress; I MAKE stuffed toys, and this is utterly MAGNIFICENT. It's hard to see unless you hold it in a good light, but even the wings are made of two subtly different colours, the veins being the same grey as the body and the webbing a warmer (more brown) shade of grey. SUCH detail, SUCH expertise, from the "dimple" under its chin to the subtle colouring that imitates stone. I have named mine "Lillybelle." why? who do gargoyles have to be male? I'm sure that they think WE are VERY odd and strange-looking, and I have NO doubt that Gargoyle mothers think their children are beautiful. It is truly a gift and ABSOLUTELY worth the cost to have such a special, well-made, and rare Plush Friend. Not just a toy, but truly a "Plushonality" in my home. My greatest respect to the designer, indeed. And my deepest thanks to him for allowing me to have "Lillybelle" in my home. (I promise to take good care of her.) I cannot give this item a higher recommendation. It is utterly MAGNIFICENT, in concept, in design, and in production. My deepest respect and thanks to Toy Vault and its designers. Mu'aatha
