this seems great, because once it dies, an overrun or coat of arms are equally good at winning the game for you. however...until it dies, it'll eat up your mana like nobody's business. noo thank you.

You're WRONG!! Paying comulative upkeep costs is OPTIONAL, which means that you, at the beginning of your upkeep, can choose to sacrifice the Owl Keeper to get tons of flying tokens.
AWESOME CARD! Pretty damn sure that people who call this card bad doesn't know what they're talking about; a white 3/3 for three mana is a monster, not to mention that it's a giant. Oh, and that it puts enormous amounts of flying power onto the battlefield.
