Why do people think you can cast this for free? 4 Panglacial Wurms on turn 1? Yeah right. It's still a great card though.

i was running 4 of these in my elf deck i had 3 life left my opponent attacked i blocked with wirewood herald got them all out and killed him

Um, I thought this card was the best ever until I realized you still have to pay the cost...7 mana for a 9/5 with trample is mediocre...although you get some card advantage since it's not from your hand (I guess).

amazing. i run a big beast deck, and any advantage i can get by putting my creatures out is alright with me. a 9/5 for seven is not bad at all

Playing it still requires you to pay it's mana cost. 9/5 Trample for 7 is decent to mediocre, with a little added for the card advantage gained from playing from library.

seems like it wouldn't be bad in one of those "free" decks. by "free" i mean very little or almost no mana. obviously combos well with 'land grant' and 'sakurra tribal elder" (sorry if i misspelled that). also 'worldly tutor,' yavimaya elder,' or the gold card 'eldamari's call.' i'm sure there's many more i'm forgetting, but the key to this baby is popping him out the first turn with 'land grant' or 'crop rotation' or 'worldly tutor'......funfuns! good luck and happy deck building!
