my friend plays a casual deck with 'rishadan port' and 'winter orb' with 'daze' , 'thwart,' and 'force of will' and theres nothing he like better than dropping this baby first turn or when he has one mana to spare. i just grit my teeth down to the roots when this little crapper grinds me down to 0 like forty turns later....... 
1st-turn flier with no drawback: Solid. See also Scryb Sprites and Suntail Hawk. Only downside is that as a Human, Flying Men doesn't synergize with other cards in a tribal sense like the Bird and Faerie do. Your Rights :
