This is a hex based simulation of the battle of Guadalcanal in August, 1942.
Guadalcanal was one of the first games to include unit step reduction, however the strengths had to be recorded on a casualy pad. Another interesting game rule, that added a lot of paperwork, was the fact that all Japanese units that were in jungle terrain were removed from the mapboard and only placed on the board when a U.S. unit was adjacent.
Victory conditions were straight forward... occupy Henderson Field for 2 consecutive turns or totally eliminate your opponent from the map.
