Looks like Nightmare has returned. Should be one of the best black cards in the set. -- By Black Power from Swamps on April 26, 2007 |

Don't bother trying to abuse his Grandeur, or build around it. Just picture him as a low costed regenerating Nightmare, with a perk. Solid beater, but lack of evasion can be a pain. -- By Anonymous from KS on April 26, 2007 |

He's 2 mana cheaper than the Nightmare, but he also does not have flying. So at first he will be a smallish regenerating creature at best.
Use Demonic Collusion or similar to grab one more Korlash from your library so you can start making use of the Grandeur ability. Then all you need to do is to grab your discarded Korlash from your graveyard back into your hand, then keep playing the Grandeur ability over and over.
That will probably work alright. But he's still not a flyer and he does not have trample. So he would be easy to block no matter how big he would get. Besides, he can only get so big unless you are playing monoblack in which case your library would contain more swamps up for grabs. -- By Guffy from New York, NY, USA on May 17, 2007 |

You are forgeting urborg...with that land u don't need to play with monoblack, in fact, the decks with korlash are usually b/u with teferi and stuff...Anyway this is a great card, one of the best black creatures and will definetly leave its mark in mtg along with its pricepal, the tarmogoyf -- By Nuno_vdk from Oporto, Portugal on July 02, 2007 |

Better than Nightmare and I'll tell you why. It's a Zombie. Play this in conjunction with something like Undead Warchief and Call to the Grave, all of a sudden not only does it get an additional +2/+1 but while all your opponents creatures are taking hits, you're Korlash remains untouched free to eat their soul. -- By Osterius from PA on November 21, 2007 |
