While i admit this card is great and its a must have for all sliver decks, i still think the sliver queen takes the crown. First of all from a lore stand point she is the QUEEN, without her there is hive. Speaking from a functunality stand point the legion cant do much of anything if its by itself. Without trample this card runs into chump blockers all day long. The queen however can breed many many more slivers then your opponant can block, especially if you have a heartstone out. Slivers are about having lots of creatures that pump eachother not one huge massive sliver that towers above your apponants puny humanoids. My sliver deck wich i have had since they first came out has been lording over my friends for a long time, and it got better with the addition of this card yes but the sliver queen usally wins me the came when i play her even if shes alone. I give this card a 5 star rating for obvious reasons but remember, the queen is a master a legion is a servent.

this card truly is the best sliver. very easy to get out with gemhides and ancient ziggurats. i run all creatures and four colors but can play it many times even without a gemhide sliver.

This is possibly the most evolutionarily perfect Sliver. Leagues better then the Overlord, and, in my opinion, better then the Queen. I can hear the very resonance of the Hivemind itself.....

this card is pure evil...
combine 4 of them with mirror gallory and a few coat of arms and you suddenly have +8/+8 for each other sliver in play

This card is great! Now with 10th edition out and Joiner Adept (lands you control produce any color mana) there is no reason to not run this card. And with Summoners Pact or Homing Sliver you're always going to have one in hand.

Just evil. I run a fungus/sliver deck with hivestones, insane token sliver generation, and this is just plain evil when it comes out. And with Utopia Mycon and gemhides, mana is never a problem.

I run 2 of these in my 5 color deck and never have a problem getting any of my creatures out because of 4 aether vials.

The Best that Slivers have to offer especially if your sliver decks focus is to pump up really big. But you dont have to use it in a sliver deck. Use a couple of Hivestones from Time Spiral for a crazy combo that will knock your opponent flat(oh if you were wondering how to get it out in a mono colored deck, just use composite golem, cost six 4/4, sack it to add one of every mana color to your pool).

The Ultimate sliver!!! At last I have found it. If anyone make a 5 color sliver deck it must include sliver legion, gemhide sliver, and celestial dawn. put mostly white slivers in it and all white mana. check out celestial dawn. but beware. if you dont get celestial dawn in your hand at first draw you must mulligan or have little chance of playing much. that is why I said to put mostly white slivers. thanx that is all.

Insane card for sliver deck, forget blade sliver and plate sliver put demonic tutor in insted to get this out sooner. Awesome. Only other sliver that is as good as it would be Sliver Overlord, and just barely.

Extremely useful in any Sliver deck that (say it with me) plays five colors or uses any amount of green. It even has the same converted cost as a "real" Coat of Arms. About its only drawback compared with the good ol' CoA: only one in play at a time.

This card is basically a 7/7 sliver with a cheap but varied casting cost, coming with a built in 'Coat of Arms' effect that targets all slivers in play. Normally something that requires a mana of every colour is a turnoff, but Gemhide sliver can cover that, giving each sliver the ability to produce whatever colour of mana you want by tapping it. The best way to play this thing is mid to late game, when you already have some slivers out. You could fish it out with Sliver Overlord or even the Homing Sliver that came out with this set.

Love the concept and Heavy boost. But still prefer queen or overmind for personal sliver deck.
