Buying a box of Lorwyn is a better value. If you buy the box you can make most of these decks with a few minor modification, plus you are likely to get at least two plainswalkers. In addition to all of the other cool rare cards you wouldn't get with this deck, for example. I have made similar decks to the elves and merfolk, I was able to incorporate cards that make the deck a lot better. Plus you have a lot of cards that you can use to trade with. I was into kithkins so I traded those for some higher power elves. It worked out great. Best of luck to all of you out there and keep playing! 
I haven't bought any of the lorwyn theme decks, but once Morningtide was released I bought singles and made my own version of the merfolk deck. I have played against elves, kithkins, and elementals and I feel that the merfolks work best. Your Rights :
