my nine-year old son got this for christmas and we have played it about 20 times in less than two months. He loves it - and him and i have had a blast.
The game is fairly complex to start, but once you get going, it's not too bad. It does take a 2-2 1/2 hours to play. It's not something him and his friends could play - they need an adult to keep things moving - but we've played several games with his friends -and as long as I'm there, everyone has a great time.
Biggest downside is that you need 3 or more players - the 2 player game isn't that good. My son and I devised a way to make extra players using a dice to make their decisions. It's actually pretty interesting.
All and all, really fun game - I recommend it.
