*** am tempted to rate this four stars but, as its a sideboard card for me, can't really justify it. really awesome, and have never been tempted to take it out for something else. just as good today as it was then, and perhaps even better. a heavy enchantment/artifact deck opponent will think twice before playing his hand out. its been said alot that the MTG game isn't about bluffing as opposed to say..poker. what i'm trying to say is that is constructed deck play you've already put your deck together. the skill comes in playing your deck to its maximum possible potential. it may rule or bite or be somewhere in between but as long as you made no GAme mistakes, there's no shame(unless you need to work on your deck building skills). people will play the hand they're dealt and let the chips fall where they may. 'aura of silence' is one of the few cards that, once sideboarded in, will effect the way your opponent plays..in much the same way almost as , say, 'counterspell' or it ilk. i'm always a bit amazed at the effect this card has on my opponent, and how hesitant most of them become in playing out their deck........
