alot of fun and games. i play with this in an all land deck with 'exploration' and 'bazaar of baghdad.' seems at first glance to be broken but is just really strong. although i could be wrong. as i've said before, i don't like the new format of MTG whereby the card has been "reframed" and "reformatted." like the art though and introduces a new artifact for a cheap cost(three or under) and kool ability...... -- By Anonymous from gainesville, FL USA on February 05, 2005 |

strip mine lotus!! first turn EVIL man....just wrong. The best hand ever would be FASTBOND - LOTUS - Stripmine - COW - ZURAN ORB ...... you will win because they will quit. -- By jb from nj on June 26, 2006 |

As above they mentioned it seems broken, well it is with fastbond and zuran orb or just fastbond and one of the odyssey sac lands like barbarian ring or colisseum, but I guess they all could work...not to mention strip minewasteland/ghost quarter... -- By Matt from Corbin,KY on January 18, 2007 |

The best combo is with Land's Edge from Legends. Infinity! -- By King from Mars on February 17, 2007 |

This doesn't work with Land's Edge - you cannot discard a card that's not in your hand. You can play the card (into the In Play zone) but that's it.
It does, however, work great with Dark Heart of the Wood and Fast Bond. net gain of two life (after the first) for each sac (to infinity). -- By Digz from CA, USA on May 29, 2007 |

Great card, I have it in a pretty cool deck with Dreamscape Artists, Budoka Gardener rites of flourishing, fastbond, and the cool part Walk the Aeons. It has happened more than once that I get infinite turns, which is pretty cool. If I were a betting man, I would bet on this card going up in price with the new mechanic in Eventide called retrace. you can discard a land in addition to the retrace cards mana cost to play it again from the graveyard! you discard the land for retrace, and with this badboy, you slap that land out, no loss, only hurt for your opponent. -- By Eric from Lethbridge, AB, Canada on June 29, 2008 |
