with the right build up this guy is golden. Black knight and vampire nighthawk in your graveyard, which is a VERY likely scenario in my deck, and already you got a house.

Very nice. I'm gonna chuck him in a deck with Volrath and Concerted Effort. If i could get my hands on it spirit of the night would go in as well. That way not only does he get pumped up, but so does Volrath and any other creatures in play.

wonderful in a reanimation deck, with akroma. maybe even use him with jace, lol! mill yourself for 20 and your cairn wanderer will probably add a couple more abilities to his repertoire. works w/ either akroma in your yard, of course, but discard a moonglove winnower and a mosquito guard with that shards of alara card that forces each player to discard a card at the beginning of your upkeep. also an amazing follow-up if your first rush was wrathed or damned. use it in really any deck with creatures w/ abilities mentioned on this card. the only problem is it came out before wither, so it doesn't have wither, ever.
