***** I have this card in my deck and when i play with my friends they get mad at me for using it. they cant beat me when i play it becuase i take all their life! i get over 30 life a game but this is the only card i have that heals me! all my other cards are creatures and lands for the most part i have very little sorcery and this card saves me when im about to die buy this card cuz its one of the best out there it will save u!

***** Best card. Can be used to just gain life by targeting your own creature, if you know your opponent has something up his sleave, or you can just try and hurt him anyways.

***** The card is pretty god-like in mono black...if u got 9 mana or 6 and a coffers, u play it and mirari it and it'll kill your opponent faster than they would think

***** I like the card. Even though I do not have it. My friend does and he really kills me with it though. But usually he just creams me with his Phage and dark banishing, befouls, etc. The only thing that ticks me off about this card is that it is so cheap, I mean. That's not natural. If you had four you could demolish the opponent easily. I have a white-black deck, and I have lot's of healers, but I never get them or my best cards. It is ironic though, that my friend always seems to get Phage or Corrupt and all of his destruction cards on like his 8th turn. I'm gonna get this card.

*** used to play with this in different formats and different black decks over time. get the 7th edition foil for the ultimate in coolness, although i like this card's look too. although they don't presently make a foil of this version. anyway, alot of fun, especially in multiplayer although its good in duels too. but there's the rub. i don't like being forced to play more lands to get more damage for a card. 'cause as sure as rain gets you wet, someone's going to pop a spell like 'armegeddon' and then you're going to be stuck in the pool with all your clothes stolen....and the temperature dropping rapidly.............

***** According to the front page, this is going to be type 2 in about 3 weeks. This + Korlash + Urborg + Tendrils = you already have your deck. seriously. Just fill the rest of your deck up with consume spirits, terrors, nameless inversions, nightmares, tutors, festering goblins, magus of the coffers, doubling cubes, whatever sort of black shenanagins you can find. if you survive to turn 4, your opponent will not be able to stop you, unless they run land destruction. it costs more than tendrils, but you can hit players. use it for the kill.

***** HAHAHA! they finally remade it! and with Urborg, tomb of yawgmoth, you can 'theoretically' run it in any deck. It's one of the better "deal damage equal to" yadayadayada cards
