Shadowmoor is an expansion set released on May 2nd, 2008 for Magic: The Gathering. Shadowmoor is the first set of the new "Shadowmoor" block. This set includes 4 new mechanics; Conspire, Persist, Untap and Wither.
i use to think this card was great. then i realized that lands dont have a color. So if you control no other black permanents other than it, its a whopping 1/1.

WOW! If you play this card without mana accelling it itll be a 4/4 with fear for 4, and the next round when it can start attacking itll be a 5/5, thats better beans then Juzam djinn for crying out load (although Juzam can be tossed out earlier without beeing weak). And thats ONLY if you have nothing but your 4 lands in play. Even if you get it out round two or three you can at least count on it beeing a 3/3 with fear that keeps growing at a frightening rate. These guys is better then Nightmare and Hier to Korlash any day in my book. Just too bad theyre elementals since I cant imagine anyone playing a mono-black elemental deck.

I love this card. Especially when combined with Fists of the Demigod and Rite of Consumption.
