Shadowmoor is an expansion set released on May 2nd, 2008 for Magic: The Gathering. Shadowmoor is the first set of the new "Shadowmoor" block. This set includes 4 new mechanics; Conspire, Persist, Untap and Wither.
Every control deck in Legacy runs these, 4 Daze, 4 Counterspell, and 4 FoW pretty much... Gets less play in Vintage; but it's still played in that format aswell. And the fact that it's a Merfolk/Wizard doesn't hurt it one bit so you can totally use it in tribal themed decks also.

Nice for wizards or merfolk, actually very affective for counterspellings best feature-fear. You counterspell and forbid someone on turns 2 and 3, they'll ofter sit back and waste their only hope of beating blue control. This guy is nice for 1st turn control.
