Eventide is the second set in the Shadowmoor block. Eventide introduces two new mechanics called Retrace and Chroma. Retrace allows one to play a card out of one’s graveyard with the added cost of discarding a land. Chroma makes mana of a certain color a variable that determines the effect of a card.
this, a paradise mantle, and a training grounds.

Planeswalkers yes... Helix Pinnacle no (It has shroud). Obviously designed for killing hatchlings, but quite the enabler in graft decks. Speaking of casual play, how about keeping that myojin indestructable ; putting the hurt on that darkest depths.
... and how friggin' cute is this guy by the way? Reminds me of the newer art for Blinking spirts, only I'm pretty sure he's laying out the glowworms, not collecting things.

Awesome. You can use all of the planeswalkers most powerful abilities the turn they come out with this card. Some other good combos are Helix Pinnacle and door of destinies.

3 mana for a 1/3 body is decent with a great ability. And this card has one of the best. Age counters, fading counters, sunburst, graft, Gilder Bairns will be a keystone in many deck builds. Get a set now and oogle at what is probably MTG's most inventive piece of artwork to date.
