***** Shivan's a better blocker though, right?

**** I agree, the days when Shivan Dragons were everywhere were indeed great, but it's only natural for the creatures to evolve (as long as they don't all end up as 99/99 BFMs). Indeed the Flameblast Dragon is great, but Shivan still packs a punch for us non-pro-wannabees?

***** I, too, remember when Shivan was the baddest beastie out there. Back when Revised and 4th was out, Shivan Dragons went for $20. Flameblast Dragon is way better and just a small fraction of the price. I have fond memories of those days long past, but things are WAY better for Magic now.

**** I have seen more sealed games won with this creature than any other. There was a time where a big red flyer for six mana was good enough. Add a built-in Blaze to it and you have a real monsterfather.

**** they just continue to make creatures better then the shivan..it's a shame..Shivan kept people happy so many years then to all of a sudden be outclassed...don't like that very much..i wish i could still band creatures with my shivan dragon and phase creatures in and out. you younguns get off my lawn.
