I own 4 of these cards in one of my decks and i have to say they become really annoying for my opponents. Its especially annoying in combinations with scythe of the wretched. She still gets the counter and you get their creature.

Evil pinger. One of my most beneficial cards in my kill burn deck. It usually eats a creature removal card when it comes in, but the times it doesn't it gets really big. Ping takes out 1/1s that usually overrun my deck, and if I ping a card and then kill it, it still gets the +1 on it. Late game this thing can become a 9/9 or even worse if it goes unchecked in my deck.

I love this card. The other reviewer is right about the sword but it wouldn't activate the 1/1 counter ability.

Cheap and if played with Sword of Kaldara, it's a tap to remove target creature from play!
