If you only think Earthbound Immortals are mainly for heavy direct attacks, you're right. However, if you keep your narrow thinking to the point where you believe all of your opponent will let you keep doing that, you're wrong. Have your opponent activate 3 Burden of the Mighty or Gravity Bind, and you'll see what I mean. Luckily, you can still inflict damage, thanks to this huge fish's effect, along with the additional boon of cutting out your opponent's battle phase (which is awesome if you have cards like Spider Web or have additional monsters on the field to protect against your opponents attacks).

my personal least favorite of all the earthbound imortals, hes not good because he stops the battle phase and why? earthbound immortals are ment to be summoned and then beat down the opponent with high attack not stall their battle phase...

Awsome card! Scince your opponent can't do their battle phase if it is in defense mode, it is an awsome stalling card.
