We absolutely love this game! It took six months of prodding my wife to let me throw down the money for it, but when I did and we played it, she was hooked as much as I was. We are pretty new to the gaming world, and though it took a few games to get all the nuances, rules, and stipulations for battle down, it was never overwhelming. I would highly recommend this game to seasoned gamers as well as newcomers to the activity. (If you need some hand-holding, there are some videos on Youtube showing some people actually playing and explaining the game.) On our latest "mission" we needed to stop for a few days, and the game is tactical and tense enough that I actually found myself thinking during the day how I was going to get my squad out of the Hulk alive. (You will always be the underdog as a marine.) The figures are amazing, and the quality of the components is extremely high. The boards are thick and well-made. My only complaint is that the sprue holding the pieces are very thick - often thicker than the piece they are holding. This means you must be very careful when cutting the pieces off. Also, they crammed a whole lot into the box, and because of that I had some very minor damage to a few pieces when it was unboxed. (Nothing major, but a couple of genestealers' claws were in the bottom of the box...not enough to dissuade you from buying the game.) Once the pieces are assembled, the overcrowding is solved. Troll and Toad's service was extremely good. I received the game promptly, and I look forward to seeing their booth at Dragon*Con! Now, I just wish I had the patience and skill to paint the figures...

A great remake of a classic. the Figures are incredible and alone worth the price of the game. The game plays as it did in the past with minor repairs. Very enjoyable. Quality of game pieces are superb. Balance is very good, I have played 7 scenarios now, multiple times each and have had much different results on every game. Random Genestealer arrival works well with the blip system and playes a large part in ingame tactics. Rules are well laid out, easy to follow and have so far left no ambiguous rulings to be decided. Once Again Well Done Games Workshop, Kudos. Overall rating 9 of 10 here
