Works great in tandem with diabolic intent!

i believe my first serious use of this card was with a 'sneak attack' deck. later on, i think with 'prophecy(?),'i used them for the "sanctuarys," like 'dega sanctuary(white) and the rest of which i don't recall. basically, with a little mana acceleration and cards and lands like 'altar of dementia,' 'diamond valley,' 'high market,' or 'phyrexian tower,' you could have some serious hurting on your opponent. i don't know how tourney worthy this card is today(playing almost exclusively 1.5 for the past several years) but it was tons of fun getting ANY enchantment and putting it right into play! if you wanted to be a big buttwipe, you could play that white enchantment from 'legends' for eight(!!) mana that ends the game in a draw after two turns('divine intervention'?, sorry not sure i remember the name correctly, if at all). anyway, in conclusion, 'academy rector' is just lots of fun and also a legit tourney card that i recommend highly..............ciao!

I use this card in my sideboard when i play parfait. I usually slide them into my maindeck when playing against creature based decks that win by swinging. I chump block with the rector to fetch moat or story circle for the lock. GREAT CARD!

one word, Flash. use flash to put this bad boy into play for a blue and a colorless, and dont pay for it to stay in play, he gets buryed, and you get to search your deck for an enchantment to put into play, and all for a blue and a colorless, and it can be done at any time. meaning you can get a really expensive enchantment (like day of the dragons, mind over matter, ect...)on the second turn. he he he with those 2 cards, you can make a deck that makes babys cry.
