**** Awesome. also check out Shivan Wumpus if you don't already know about it. 4x Argothian Wurm and 4x Shivan Wumpus...lots of fun!

**** Everything about this card is great. It's a cheap fatty with trample, and even if your opponent decides to sac a land, you'll just replay it next turn. By saccing lands, your opponents loose his or her options to get rid of the Wurm, so it's pretty much win/win (unless, of course, your opponent is playing an elf deck (or the like), where lands are only required in the first few turns).

***** I think this is a great wurm, first of all, but I think people are looking at it the wrong way. The sacrificing a land bit should be used to your advantage. First of all, the opponent has to chose between losing a land or admitting the wurm, and 3G, while high, is still not unreasonable for a land-destruction spell. Just play this when you would benefit from both scenarios. You could even use it as an excuse to sacrifice on of your OWN lands. But if you spend energy getting rid of your opponents lands first just to get a 6/6 trampler out, you'll spend more mana than if you just went with a standard wurm.

***** In my opinion, this is one of the best creatures in the game. 4 mana for a 6/6 trample with the added benefit of land destruction, this card comes out fast and powerful! I love to slap some rancors on him and do some serious damage fast. Definetely worth putting into a red/green beatdown deck.

*** ahhh. those golden days of yesteryear. my 1.5 monogreen deck has its beginnings in 1998 and the desire to play this fattie. later on, i added 'endless wurm' with 'rancor' and 'exploration' along with 8 first turn mana weenies as i believe some of the previous reviewers have done. anyway, long story short, it was just too inconsitent. and so the wurms left to parts unknown. i still have a fondness for big stompies, especially wurms and dragons, but really don't get the chance to use them competitively anymore...its true, ignorance IS bliss.....................

***** HELLLO! One of the best wurms ever. Put him in a deck with 4 Molten Rains, 4 Stone Rains, and some Dirtcowl Wurms and a Zo-Zu the Punisher. Nobody is going to stop you. Using some elves for early turns to get extra land out quickly and you are going to pummel your opponent. Go ahead, try it!

***** I play a deck as follows,4x Argoth. Wurm, 4x Penum. Wurm, 4x Llanowar Elves, 4x Fyndhorn Elf,2x roffelloes llan. emmisarry (that's only part of the deck) I only have 16 land but can always manage a wurm 3rd turn because there's no restrictions like sol ring. With Verdant Succession 2x my penumbras are unkillable and I can beat peeps in less than 7 turns on average

***** A 6/6 for 3G that you can do second turn with a Sol Ring and so what if your aponit can sack a land to put it on top of your library he will run out of land suner or later and in the mentime he wont have any land to do any thing with
