***** Avatar of Might + Giant Growth turns this into an 11/11 creauture with trample, which will probably kill your opponent midgame. I love this! Must have atleast 2 in any green deck.

**** I have to agree, This card is a must have for any mono green deck. Especailly if you going up against a goblin deck. With them having so many creatures u will be able to get this out for just 2 green mana. A vitalizing wind will make each avatar a 15/15 trample. I personally love using vernal bloom, as many avatars of might as i can get out, Vitalizing wind, along with geas cradle and over run, and giant growth if u have the spare mana. Trust me late in the game the vernal bloom and geas cradle will give u enought to cast all three of those instants/scorceries giving you a lot of massive all trample creatures, you opponent wont know what hit them.

***** I think this card rules because of trample and 8/8, you can pump it up as high as possible and theres no stoping when Avatar has Trample!

***** great card love it very ez to get out who ever doesn't like this card should stop collecting magic

* Worst avatar ever! Thin about it, if you are playing green, the creature color, and you don't have more creatures on the board then the opponent, something is wrong. And only a total newb would overextend himself by dropping 4 more creatures than you. So sucky it is hard to comprehend.

*** the only time i could really see this card as really good would be vs white weenie or another green deck and thats only if your getting off to a slow start.

**** This isn't as bad as the poeple above me say it is. Green has mana mana preducing cards with Llanowar Elves Fyhndorn Elder Birds of Paradise and Wild Growth it is easy to get out sometimes I can get these out on turn 4! 1st turn Llanowar 2nd turn Elder 3rd turn Rofellos,Llanowar Emissary Turn 4 Avatar of Might

***** This is the best Avatar ever. It is a 8/8 trampler. If your opponent dosn't have 4 more creatures than you play
-- By J-Dogg from Phoenix, AZ USA on October 19, 2002
***** this card is very good dont put in green only i would put it in a green and black deck so u could make it black and they cant kill it with a spell
-- By luke from howard on October 26, 2002
***** If you're using this card, splash white, include two mirari's wakes, krosan verges, and for kicks, vitalizing wind and kamahl. The mirari's wake will do +2 to all creatures, double or triple your mana, and will provide easy acess to vitalizing wind. Kamahl will let all your creatures attack in one fell swoop. Whee.

* i think this card stinks, if ur opponent has 4 or more creatures then u were allready taking a huge beating before. i would much rather play something smaller maybe splash black and use spiritmonger

** All right, this is vying for Avatar of Hope as the crappiest avatar. 6GG means that I have a strong commitment to green. A very strong one. I probably need mana elves just to hard cast the freaking thing. But I need my opponent to have 4 more creatures than me, in the creature color, to cheapcast it? This is the worst one, it totally goes against green's theme. It sucks.

***** Any Avatar+Some other huge creatures=many wins
-- By Anonymous from I have problems on March 27, 2003
** what is wrong with you people? any black or red deck would take this card out no problem for instance the black cards deadringers and plague winds would take this card out and any other creatures with it and red would just burn it out of the way. face it it wont hurt that much and u will never get it out.

**** my deck, 2 or more avatars of might, combined with a spike deck, and gaea's leige, fun funness, not a quick kill, but still fun!!!
-- By Anonymous from urbana, IL on February 07, 2005
**** I've got to say that the avatar of might is pretty good. My black/green control works pretty well with this guy. Think about it. Using Syphon Soul early to slow the life loss, play Avatar of Might for 2G as your opponent builds up, bust that Pernicious Deed over his head for 7 or less, wipe board, wipe opponent.

*** Fun card for friendlies. Combine it with something like a Hunted Troll to ensure you get him out for 2 mana. Even at full price he's not bad value but by the time you could cast him I'd rather be doing other things with my mana or one player should be crippled anyway. Pop him in your mono green sideboard for games against weenie and saproling decks.

**** I love green, in fact a Green Fattie deck is my favorite deck. Although i dont see this card getting much play in it, unless your playing a PURE Fattie deck (big creatures, with converted mana cost of 5 and more), but you could probably get this guy out for the same price as the discount when you use Krosan Drover

***** What you need to realize is that even without using its second ability it's a good card. I've never been able to use the second ability if I'm not playing a goblin deck, and it is pretty useless. But think about it-8\8 trample for 8 lands is a good deal. There are lots of ways to beat people with this. Sure, Thorn Elemental can go right through creatures, but it is only 7\7 and Avatar Of Might can get both the creature and the player. In addition, you have GOT to be more creative than giant growth. Come on, there is way more powerful cards than that! I've gotten it to a 41\41 before! Put it in a deck with lots of tramplers and cards to boost their stats. Best combo ever!

**** I Put 4 stars cause for me the best Avatar is the black one Avatar of Woe, But This Green Avatar is very good too just think that : Hunted Troll + Avatar of Might!! So for 6 mana you can get those creatures in play if the opponent as one creature already in play!! Or if you payed you Hunted troll with a forbidden Orchard - so you got an 8/4 regenerate and a 8/8 trample against 4 1/1

*** Good card but in a TRUE green deck, you will probably have to pay the full price. These are only really useful with a reainmator deck.
  -- By Juggaloco from Shangri-La on October 26, 2007
***** An 8/8 trample for 8 mana is allready pritty cool, but with that little extra mana reducing abillity its just insane now that theres so many token decks out there!
-- By Anonymous from Denmark on December 05, 2007
**** It's a fun card to use, especially when you buff it with giant growth and battle mastery so it is an 11/11 with double strike and trample, i dont have it in my main deck but when i get a chance i am going to put 2 copies in it
-- By Trevor from Colorado on January 03, 2008
** I would say this is probably the weakest of the Five Avatars; it may be and 8/8 with trample, but it has no good abilities like the other four. Plus, if your opponent has four more creatures than you, you're probably going to lose in spite of this card
-- By Anonymous from bobville on March 31, 2008
**** Load your multi-colored deck with enchantments, especially those which slow down your opponents creatures that are low cost (i.e. paralyze, spirit link, pacifism, etc.). In my deck, I don't even use "weak" creatures for defense, as I use defensive enchantments in their place. You'd be surprised at how compelling it is for your opponent to cast several creatures when you've enchanted them with such spells. Before they/you know it, they have 4 creatures played, allowing the casting cost to be a mere 2, which makes him an absolute god... Also, drop 3ish Argothian Enchantress or Verduran Enchantress (or whatever similar creature), so you can draw cards up the yang, and you've got yourself the solid beginnings for a deck. A combo I was able to hit recently (friendly game, mind you) was cast AoM for 2 (say, round 5 or so) while I had Zuran's Orb out. Then I casted Balance, ate my lands to Zuran's Orb, and smiled as it isn't often that someone with no lands and 1 creature can defend themselves easily when AoM is the opposing creature.

**** Definitely worth more than 1 star. IMO, a 4 star card especially if used correctly. A mercy killing gives your oppoents creature as many 1/1 elves as the creature sacrificed power. say they have a 3/3 and a 1/1, and u still got nothing. Mercy kill the 3/3 and bam.. Avatar of might cost 2 forests to play. Once he is in, he is murder assuming your opponent doesnt have those cheap ass destroy target creature cards (by far the cheapest cards except for slivers). 4/5
