***** @anonymous Yes...situationally. Many powerful black cards in old school lines call for creature sacrifices and as some have pointed out, devour exists on newer cards. If you put this with something like Crovax the Cursed you get an endless supply of "food" to buff him up with. 2 Black Mana is a small price to pay for one of my creatures getting +1/+1 every turn.

* So what your saying is a 0/1 Thrull is worth 2 swamps every turn?

**** in the new decks w/ the devour mechanic, this is *insane*...its r/g/b so...turn one birds of paradise, turn 2 call of the herd, turn 3 this, maybe splash for paradox hazes...maybe not cuz of the upkeep cost...but just wait for a couple of turns and play a huge dragon w/ devour. however, the BB every turn is...not great. so 4 stars.

***** A must-have for thrull decks but really should be used with things like thrull champions or bad moons. I agree that it goes well with devouring strossus but frankly I think it goes better with ebon praetors

***** Breeding Pit is an excellent card, giving you tons of minor creatures to use in tandem with a card like Crovax the Cursed. Extremely useful.

***** This card is a awsome combo with the very powerful Devouring Strossus, with breeding pit, a creature comes out every turn, with the strossus, to keep it in play you have to sacrifice a creature every turn, so put this card out a couple turns before you put out the strossus, keep the strossus out and total your opponent!

***** breeding pit is the best. It works perfect with my lord of the pit and devoring strosses. My deck kicks ass with this card.

***** Love it, gives tones of weines that can be used to support a Devourin Sterousus, or Cabal Patriach, or other such cards
