Grindstone

Progenitus, Legacy Weapon, Blightsteel/Darksteel Colossus can get around the Leyline since the player milling has priority over their own effects. But still, considering most deck builds they would only be running 1 or 2 of any of the afore mentioned; thus only buying an extra round or two before a draw-kill. Wickedly power combo Painter/Grindstone... Off the hook when combined with Leyline of the Void.

Dude, this card is Five Stars if combine with Painter. In the Vintage, this card give me a chance to first turn kill. (Mishra Workshop-Painter-Grindstone-Black Lotus) When the second game starts, I put 4 Leyline of the Void into my deck right? So Gaea's Blessing, etc. will not use anymore... two game win my friend.... If you're talking about Legacy, then One Land Belcher still win for speed....

Sleeve up this card with Painter's Servant and some control cards (Cryptic Command, Wrath of God, etc.) and you can't have a bad deck. If a deck that played the Painter's Servant combo really lost that bad, then that just says something about whoever put together the deck. Because this card is nuts.

Hello Painter's Servant.. Now you entire deck (land included) is what ever color i want. six colorless for instant death turn 2 or 3... way too broken

It wouldn't be an automatic win because of land, land is without color so that would stop it, but it is still an amazing card.

Wouldnt This be an automatic win against a mono colored deck

Grindstone works in so many different decks. It destroys the opponents library and is very afficient for the mana!!!

4 stars if this card does not bury full artifactdecks (containing only artifacts and lands)
but if it does it definetly 5 star worth. Anyone wiser than me please answer.

simple side board!!!!!!! geasblessing and darkstell colusus...... pls.. think.. it works here in the phillipines.... what really hurts is the painters servant choose a color white then cast gloom... think ok??? :P

hey max, you need to learn the cardinal rule of magic, thers a way around every card, if your so worried about loosing your combos with cards like this side board disinchant cards or even better, cofinscate,if you play blue, theres another blue card thats a little cheaper and you get to steal an oponents artifact, and beleive me that sux thats happened to my grindstone a couple times, ive lost by my own card

This card is so freaking dumb i hate it you cant even play the game strategically it takes the whole point of the game away.

LOLZ, even with Painter's Servant, this deck did not do good, it went 1-7 in a legacy tourny, it still cannot beat the tier 1 decks....and it struggled against tier 2....

I hate being harsh to a card like this, but it's not fun. It takes gameplay away from the game! How would you like it if your Counterspells got all ground up into the graveyard? And what if you have the one and only card that you spent all the money on, and it would win you the game, and, well, it's gone too. This is not a fun card.

i dont really like this card at all.......becuz...1 i really dont think its repeats over and over......ok first 2 match...u get 2 more......then i think it SHOULD stop.....i mean read the card and think about it for a second......
