not bad if you're not playing 'counterspell' or its ilk. basically, in a real life game situation, your opponent's dead. sometimes on the same turn as when you drop this pile of putrid lovin' on him. i don't know why its not as popular today, although blue mages are as big a nuisance as they were back then if not more. especially in the tournament environment................ 
In a fast moving swamp heavy deck this card is awsome.....I have a 60 card deck with 25 swamps and this card rocks Your Rights :
