**** When i first started playing this was all i used. It is simple yet powerful. in my mind it is one of the best sets you can use.

* Let's face it... "Ice Age" was not a very good set. For instance, the snowcovered land ability was horrible. Ice Age has a good place in my heart but as a magic set it just sucked. Some will argue that Ice Age has great cards like: Circle of Protection, Disenchant, swamp, etc. However these cards are printed in countless other sets making Ice Age completly useless to buy because you could just buy 5th ed. and get these cards plus maybe a good rare like "Birds of Paradise". Anyhow if you are going to buy some Ice Age then I support you in the fact that the basic land looks cool and of course Barbed Sextent is an all time great card for those common lovers out there. However that is not enough to constitute buying an entire box of this stuff. The only real reason I would consider buying Ice Age is for nostalgic's sake. Ice Age was one of the first sets that I bought cards from and opening a new pack would bring back some nice memories for me. At leaste Ice Age is not as terrible as Fallen Empires.

***** jacques, you are forgetting some really good card, like pox, Despotic Scepter, jesters cap, Infernal Denizen, Illusions of Grandeur , Márton Stromgald, Blinking Spirit. just to name a few. there were some crappy card, but it was 1 of the best sets ever made. i would suggest buying ice age. it was a really good set

**** The pain lands and Jester's cap are definitely a reason to buy a box of boosters or tourney packs, besides, who doesn't need more black border lands!>?!?
