People grossly underestimate the power of Banding. Combined with Pro-Red this can soak a Ball Lightning, Spark Elemental, Hellspark Elemental, etc. w/o it dying or you taking any damage. In any other instance where Trample would kill you throw a banding creature in front of it and direct all damage to the Banding creature of your choice. Of course you could always use the Kor creatures with the redirect damage ability {0}:Prevent the next 1 dmg that would be dealt to this creature, redirect to another creature you control; but, that's not as Vintage (Olde Schooled)
